1. What can I do if my dealer doesn't have the G.Loomis product I am looking for in stock?
Any of our dealers have the ability to order any item that is offered in our catalogs and can special order products directly from the factory.
2. Why are your IMX and GLX rods made with out a gloss or color coating?
In order to make the lightest most sensitive rod possible we had decided to leave these blanks uncoated. These are the rods that we are well known for and we take great pride in manufacturing each and every one of them.
3. Why do you not offer tubes with your travel rods?
We do not offer tubes with our Escape series of rods because of consumer input. We have done extensive studies and a huge majority of the public using these rods to travel say they buy an after market tube because they are traveling with more than one rod.
4. Where are your rods built?
All of our rods and blanks are hand crafted here in Woodland, Washington.
5. What is the advantage of having a two piece rod over a single piece rod?
The advantage of having a two piece rod over a single piece rod is simply the ease of transportation.
6. What is the advantages of having a single piece rod over a two piece?
The advantages of having a single piece rod rather than a two piece rod is a small amount of added weight. Also you have the chance with a two piece rod to improperly ferrule the rod and breakage could occur from that.
7. Where can I purchase a G.Loomis custom blank?
A G.Loomis custom blank can be purchased from any G.Loomis dealer. Like all of our other products, blanks can be special ordered from any of our dealers. There is also a listing of our blank distributors on our web site. If you have any questions about this please feel free to contact Customer Service via e-mail at customerservice@gloomis.com.
8. Why do you not list what graphite's are used in some of your new products?
With many of our new rods we are producing them with a proprietary blend of graphite's in order to get the exact desired action out of the rod for the specific fishing application the rods were designed for. Therefore none of these rods has one specific graphite in them so we are unable to list the exact material that these rods are made of.
9. Do I need to rinse my G. Loomis equipment after use in saltwater?
We do recommend that you rinse your G.Loomis equipment with freshwater after every use to prevent corrosion. If you rinse your equipment after every use you will get a much longer life out of your product.
